About Grief and Loss Counseling

One day, death becomes a part of everyone’s life, and we are forced to face this reality. Learning how to cope with loss and seeking support during this time is invaluable. The process of living through grief after the loss of a loved one is referred to as mourning.

Accepting the loss and recovering from it takes time, often accompanied by a seemingly endless period of pain. A normal grieving process typically lasts between 6 to 24 months, gradually subsiding over time. Loss and grief are sorrowful and heavy topics that many people avoid discussing. Severe illnesses, either for those affected or their loved ones, can sometimes trigger psychological challenges or fears of death.

Additionally, experiencing or witnessing injuries or situations involving serious risk of death can lead to mental health challenges. Seeking counseling during such times can mitigate the psychological effects of the process and empower you to navigate it with greater resilience.
